I know there are a whole lot of Sopel lovers now, but it really doesn't bother me that Sopel is out. While it may hurt the point a bit, it also lessens the defensive liability.

Personally I would take Pyatt at 1.5 p/y for the next three at the drop of a hat. The guy has some really soft hands, has relatively good skating skills for his size and is developing some good hockey sense. As we are pretty short on the upcoming forward talent - at least for a few more years - I th...

Daniel and Henrick have found ways to increase their point production this year, and Morrison is catching up to Naslund in Goals. It will probably be his worst statistical season since 1999-2000 season with that clown Messier, but at least he led that team in scoring. While the Morrison part of thi...

The flex on a composite stick snaps back faster that a wooden stick meaning the puck leaves the stick faster and a a greater rate of speed. If I was Markus Naslund I would waive my no-trade clause in a heartbeat to get out of playing in this city with the stunned fans ( not all but a remarkably lar...

I voted Dallas as well. My second would be Minnesota.

Of all the teams in the west I would, as Meerschaum, be most concerned about facing the Ducks.

I think this is a savvy move by Nonis. Three extremely solid guys of our top four signed long-term (well, Ohlund is only two more) is deffinitely something to be happy about. If 3.5 is the number I wouldn't be at all hesitant about paying that. Salo, when he is healthy, is definitely integral to our...

So was just reading through a review of last night's game on ESPN.com and found that good ol' Quenneville seems to agree with me: "Luongo is big for their team and they have a lot of confidence playing a patient game because of him." source: http://scores.espn.go.com/nhl/recap?gameId=270327017 :-) ...

While I do agree that AV has done a superb job and is one of the main reasons the Canucks are where they are, I would have to say that in my opinion Luongo is the number one reason. You are right in that the team has been playing relatively well in front of the back-up as well, but I think this is l...

For those of you with hate-on for the Oil, if looking long term, you should actually be cheering for them to get a few more wins so they don't end up in the lotto with a chance for a really high draft pick. I, for one, don't really mind them so long as they lose against the Nucks.

So all of a sudden BXA could be our #1 defenseman. Wow, as much as I like the guy that is kind of scary. Oh well, good to get this little bout of injuries out of the way before the playoffs.

I am not sure if I have quite the same optimism as you, Tuzzi44. This team has broken my heart so many times. The fear of having my hopes and dreams dashed by a quick exit is an ever present fear. I have and will continue to be a loyal fan, but do I dare let the hope of bringing THE CUP home enter m...

Wow, some very strong feelings on the Naslund front! Adding my two cents, I would have to agree that Naslund has not been playing at his best or even at an acceptable level. That said, I do think that his lack of production is, at least in part, due to not having linemates that are even near his ski...
