Re: Canucks 2016 Post Season Discussion

Putting Eriksson with the Sedins is the worst thing you could do. They will be line-matched to death, as has been the case for years. Torts couldn't handle it and WD is having trouble with it too, you can see it. Sloppy changes, trying to counter act what the other coach is doing, etc. I'm not stupi...

Re: Canucks 2016 Post Season Discussion

It amazes me how when you put a little money in peoples hands, all they want to do is spend it on WTF ever is out there.
Why not keep it and wait ?

Re: Canucks 2016 Post Season Discussion

micky it's a transition. Don't get hung up on labelling the lines 1, 2, or 3. WD wants to roll four lines. We already saw last season numerous occasions where he didn't put the twins out in O zone draws. As WD's confidence in players grows, more so defensive confidence, their ice time will increase...

Re: Canucks 2016 Post Season Discussion

The reason I don't like the idea of acquiring an Eriksson for the Sedins is that will automatically, again, deem them as our #1 line. This means another year of 29 other coaches putting their most effective players against them. If we are going to transition, we need to start moving away from that....

Re: E2016 Playoffs Round One

I am happy I am not a betting guy. Last night with the Blues up 2 zip I wanted to phone and get odds on the Hawks winning the game. Fortunately the Blues held out but until the final buzzer i had no faith in their ability to close it out. Wow. I did not realize how good I think the Hawks are. I kno...

I think I might be willing to go with him as a replacement for Sbisa.

Re: Canucks sign Thatcher Demko

Everybody likes odds so how about this: Odds are, Thatcher Demko will become the #1 man in Utica this coming year. Odds are, Either Miller or Markstom will suffer some type of injury this coming year. Odds are, Guess who might get a look at the N.H.L. this coming year. Odds are, we win the cup. (may...

Re: Canucks 2016 Post Season Discussion

As usual, a good, well thought out response. I think we will be in the race again next year and I expect to see no less than 15 more points, maybe more. The reason I don't like the idea of acquiring an Eriksson for the Sedins is that will automatically, again, deem them as our #1 line. This means an...

Re: Canucks 2016 Post Season Discussion

Sounds like Lucic really wants to stay put in LA, that said wonder if we get Eriksson now, a three year contract to play with the Sedins till they retire, to hopefully go out on top within a couple years. The Kings are playing this right. He desperately wants to stay but will have to take a huge ho...

Re: E2016 Playoffs Round One

I'm definitely with HW and Topper on this one. The contract was great, high end goaltender for a reasonable cap hit. The NHL allowed the contract, then changed the rules and they will now punish a contract they allowed under a previous CBA. It's complete BS. They should've disallowed the contract a...

Re: The Great Jim Benning Debate!

Spilled milk is not to be cried over but I'm doin it anyways. We should have got something for Hamuis at the TD. If only about 5 teams could have looked into a crystal ball. Never gonna know what really went down and I still don't know who I want to blame, Gillis, Benning or Dan himself. At the time...
