Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

No idea what would have happened had that deal not.
But probably safe to assume, Cory would have been just as over worked and faced as many shots, had he stayed.
Maybe more. Ouch.

Re: Canucks News and Notes 2016/17

Apparently, the Canucks were looking around in their old tool-box and found a "Brakett" to help piece their future together. http://canucks.ice.nhl.com/club/page.htm?id=108577 Since being promoted in 2015, he has helped JB dig for gold. I understand 5 or 6 of the current scouting staff are being let...

Re: 2017 Development Camp

Nope, don't buy into any reason for keeping the twins playing after 17/18, under any circumstances. No matter how much their playing time is reduced this team, (franchise), will continue to be considered the Sedin's team until they are NOT playing for it. Believe it or don't, Vancouver will become a...

Re: 2017 Development Camp

The best thing the franchise can do heading forward is not resign the Sedins after their contracts are up. Offer them internal positions if needed but time to move on and keep them off the ice after this season. The fans want to cheer for the development of these kids now. There's a light at the en...

Re: 2017 Development Camp

I could write three pages on this, but I don't want to. :| I'll just remind everyone of a fact that is ignored. Old structure: Owner, GM, Coach. New structure: Owner, President, GM, Coach. Might look simple but the ramifications, responsibilities, job-workload on "GM" are so vastly different between...

Re: Trades and rumours (& fantasies) 16-17 Sponsored by SKYO

I am guilty of thinking Sutter was better than he is. Not only as a player, but as a team-guy. I was mislead with the role he played with the Pens, in particular, on the PK and the many times either Crosby or Malkin were out with ailments. Seemed like a hard worker and didn't say much. Polar opposit...

Re: Canucks News and Notes 2016/17

Goalies are a completely different situation than all other roster players, IMO.
I could try and explain it further but why bother.
I'll just give you two a +2 and myself a -1
ta-ta.

Re: Canucks News and Notes 2016/17

Demko is important enough for this franchise moving forward that I would think he may have some say in who he would like to work with. It's a big distance to just go with one guy, but maybe it can work.. :?: I certainly hope he does not have a huge say. Too young and inexperienced to be able to mak...

Not the best plan but it just happened so I guess we give it some time to figure that one out.

Don't think this was mentioned but surprised how cheap he went. http://www.tsn.ca/johansson-caught-off-guard-by-trade-to-devils-1.799165 A 2nd and 3rd for a 50 point 26 year, makes some of our genius deals look, hmmmmm maybe not so genius..... Ya, definitely a good player in his prime and plays all...

Re: 2017 Development Camp

Where is Lockwood? Kuzma said: "he wasn't ready to compete after shoulder surgery in April." Too bad, he is one of the prospects that we normally don't have much chances of watching. According to Kenward, Gaudette chirped a lot during the game yesterday. Are the Canucks finally getting a Kesler rep...
