Re: Canuck News and Notes - 2018-2019

Interesting that the Toronto talking heads gave the Canucks a failing grade, seems main reason is that the deals were 4 years instead of 2-4. Based upon comments there was a bidding war for these guys so not surprising it went up in $ and length went longer. As long as these guys do what they were b...

Trump supporters see no wrong, I understand why. If they did the whole mirage about him doing it for the little guy would fall apart.

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka

Flames sign J. Neal. I like the player, but at 31 years old, the term is a bit too long. I think he will really help the flames for 2 or 3 years before he becomes an albatross. This signing should help the flames in the upcoming season. I'm a bit concerned about the goal tending - will Mike Smith g...

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread

Leafs should have one of the deepest C’s in the league. They’ll be entertaining as hell to watch. But if they don’t sort out their D, I’m not sure they’ll be any better come playoff time. One of? They are the best. Kadri has scored 30+ the last 2 years and he's the #3 C... Still no goalie or defenc...

Christ TSN now debating Matthews vs Tavares as who is the best leaf today. Arguing who should be captain. Causing controversy already saying one will be captain the other slighted.
Good, fun to watch the zoo their implode.

Re: Free Agency 2018 & Everything Related

I don't necessarily love the terms for the three new gritty forwards but they are much better than Gaunce, Dowd and Archibald. I don't see why people are mad about it. People complained about lack of toughness. Now, the Canucks are a much tougher team and provide a safer work place for kids like Pe...

Re: FIFA World Cup 2018

Shit! Spain is out. :( Too bad. I like their brand of football. Russia, the least talented team still in the tournament, will face the winner of Croatia and Denmark. Neither of those teams is a powerhouse, so perhaps the Russians can ride the home crowd support all the way to a semifinal? We'll see...

Re: Free Agency 2018 & Everything Related

I don't mind these 3 new guys. They are what this team needs. I'm hoping there will be movement soon to weed out some of the less useful pieces (and some useful pieces that can maximize returns) that we already have. It really solidified the bottom 6 which prior too was as confused as Reefer channe...

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread

Seriously Tuna, you are one fucked up fan with no balls.

You stay away when the team lost in the playoffs and havent come here until now. Toronto still has FA and the horrible D so nothing changed.

You do have balls dont you?

Re: The Great Jim Benning Debate!

I see no change of plan. Transition =Rebuild on the fly. Same difference. But his methodology has not changed much from one year to the next. How he managed that philosophy changed based upon the needs from year to year, his approach shifted. But his goals have remained unchanged. There is nothing ...

Re: What grade do you give JB for the 2018 draft

What round pick would you use to pick up an asshole who can do more. I don’t mean score 20 goals but play 4th line and move up when needed. I was hoping for that in the 2nd round this year but without going a lot of homework not sure anyone was available with that skill set. I believe Tom Wilson wa...
