Re: Canucks News N Notes 2020-2021

But I don't understand the Hoglander hype. I want him to succeed, don't get me wrong. But every camp has the story of the prospect that's going to bust into the lineup and be a huge impact. Hoglander is just the guy who is easiest to write that story about this year. I have a hard time believing th...

Re: Canucks Training Camp 2021

I think Gaudette always performed better as a winger, his struggles as an NHL centerman were pretty apparent. Not to say he won't grow into the role, like Horvat has, but Gaudette is more like Petersson - better as a C/LW than as a pure C. A third line of Virtanen/Sutter/Gaudette sounds good to me, ...

Re: Canucks Training Camp 2021

Maybe Loui's in the process of "finding" a career-ending injury?

Is being perma-fried considered LTIR-eligible?

Ya know, I hadn't heard that, but I knew there must have been more to the whole sweatsuit-in-the-shower story

Re: Canucks News N Notes 2020-2021

For everyone who called for the Canucks to tank at some point in the past several years. How about those Eagles? I don’t remember too many folks here advocating a tank unless the season was already a wash... like ten to fifteen points out of a playoff spot at the New Year kind of thing. I remember ...

Loui has to get sent down, he'd be too comfortable on the taxi squad.

Re: Canucks Training Camp 2021

Damn, you saw Bill Conrad on a Dean Martin Roast? You gotta alert somehow the next time something like that happens ESQ! Honestly, you were the first.. no, make that the only person I thought of when I saw that. But I was too busy trying to explain to my wife why I was so excited to see the big guy...

I was channel surfing a few nights ago and found a re-run of Dean Martin's celebrity roast - sure enough, your avatar was up there on stage sweating, smoking and drinking and chortling under those hot lights of the MGM ...

Maybe that's been his issue this whole time!

I was going to find an old sitcom reference to a bad kid needing glasses, but I'll leave that to resident archivist, Megatorio!

Anyone have any insight into anything?
I saw Pearson and Boeser at the dog park yesterday, Pearson's thighs are bursting out of his trousers.

Boeser's hair is looking glorious, should be good for 40 goals.

Isnt there some restriction where teams need to wait til day 1 of the season before they gain the actual cap space?
I think thats only if they're exceeding the cap by over 10%.

Re: Canucks News N Notes 2020-2021

You sign Vatanen, Green’s affinity for playing veterans will show itself again. Look at the playoffs. Even when the Canucks had been hemmed in all series against Vegas, Green had no thought of taking out Benn or Fantenberg and trying Juolevi. Good point - and to the Dude's point, it wasn't just the...
