Re: Shea Weber Accepts Offer Sheet from Phi (14 Years, 100 M

I would bet there's no NTC or NMC on this one so the Weber dream is far from dead.
Nashville matches and trades him to VCR in a year...

What's the difference if we waited a year then signed him as a UFA? We would have added a NTC...that's what.

Re: Shane Doan

Maybe he's ready to step up his cowboy-ness and try to weasel Chunky Woodwards old cattle ranch at Douglas Lake off of Avalanche owner Stan Kroenke... It's dry like Arizona there, Canada's largest cattle ranch at over 200,000 hectares and even has it's own chapel I believe if memory serves me correc...

Re: Wild agree to terms with Suter and Parise

If they were that good, they would not be bottom feeders for most part of the season, would they? Good teams find ways to maintain their level of plays instead of just the beginning of the season. Yes this is true. I cant say why they dropped like stones but they did get hammered by key injuries an...

Re: 2012/13 season - what ONE player do we still really need

I think the Canucks really need to add a winger to the top 6 who can actually play and fight. We have too many pussies and not enough dicks. I know some are going to go on about fighting and how its not relevant but what I'm advocating is someone who can play the game and stick up for guys when it r...

Re: Wild agree to terms with Suter and Parise

The Wild were the top team in the NHL to start this past season until the most epic regular season collapse in recent memory happened. Adding a top forward and defenseman cant hurt whatsoever. Gotta think they'll give us a run this year for top in the division. Like the Leaves, they overachieved at...

Re: CANUCKS SIGN UFA JASON GARRISON

Garrison is great pick up considering he came for nothing and likely will have extra incentive to play his heart out for friends and family. His salary is totally inconsequential considering: A.-I don't have to pay it. B.-The Canucks can afford it by all accounts. C.-We got him for nothing. Come on....

Re: Dear US Border Guards...

The biggest pricks are always Canada Customs. US border guards have been great every time I've ever gone over. Its the jerks when I want to come home. As an aside...Per when I went with my wife into Sweden, we landed in Lanvetter Gothenberg and there was absolutely no security whatsoever! I couldn't...

Re: Gillis. Who is He?

I've been reserving judgement on GMMG mainly because a GM needs time for his moves to pan out. Overall Gillis hasn't been all that bad considering. 2 bogus trades and 1 home run. -Ballard has been a disaster but in fairness he gave up a dud and a pick for a player who really did look to be exactly w...

Re: Off-Season Trade Thread - Needs/Wants

I would love to pry Matt Duchene out of Colorado but I know he's never going anywhere. He has the quickest first 3 strides in the league I would bet and always seems to get to the right place at the right time. Edit: Just had a quick look at his stats for this past season and am quite shocked to see...
