Re: RDS Reports Sundin to Return, Vancouver Likely Destination

Like most fans I'll be glad when the decision is made and we can all move on..... Until that happens..... Fans and media are the Same (more or less) for each team. Do we rag on star players when they don't meet expectations -> yep. Do we Cheer when the exceed expectations -> yep. I'd expect about 50...

Who likes Wellwood now ?

I was always a fan and hoped he would do well, but I must say I am surprised by his recent form. :D I could not understand the hate some people had for him.
Anyone changing their tune on Welly ???

Re: Aahh!!! Streaming hockey overseas!

Welcome to OZ, Clam! Where are you in the great BROWN land ? Hockey is not big here but there is some dedicated fans in the larger cities and elsewhere. Tough to get good coverage. Last year I was using Yahoo Live to stream games but was very ordinary quality. I have also used Comcast but you need t...

Re: The Wellwood Factor

we are signing Brad Pitt? Man the CDC is going to lose it I was kinda hoping to get Hugh Jackman in the fold... ;) Bah, at least Russell Crowe would know his role! Both great Aussie actors and DEFINITELY could be a role model for Wellwood, as both have been able to transform themselves(by getting i...

Re: The Wellwood Factor

Call me optimistic or just naive (or someone who loves the underdog!).... But I, and I may be the only 1, plain want the guy to succeed. I also think he will. If he has the skill most people say he has this will assist him solidifying a spot in the top 6. In regards to conditioning, a few people hav...

I was never a Naslund fan, Will alway think oif Linden as captain. But his leaving the tram at this moment makes me feel somewhat disgusted with the direction the team is taking under the the helm on MG. He talked the talk: Character players, more offense BIG signings etc... Well so far what has he ...

Not sure you have to have worked your way up the coaching ranks to land yourself a assistanve job at the top level. Player several years, sounds like he is intelligent and has life experience. Any one else manage 5 kids?

I agree don, wouldn't it be some kind of revolution if we (nuck fans and sports writers) actually support, encouraged and generally wanted Nazzie to stay with the team? I don't get to watch many games, but what I read here and on other forums, we (some fans and most sports writers) are way to quick ...

Why even 'seriously' consider trading Kesler when he is the type of player so many think this team need?
The grass is not always greener... I love what he brings each night- sandpaper factor and was potting some goals.
Would love to have a few more Keslers in the line up.

Is Brunnstromm that good as to make Aquaman fire a GM if he though DN would give him a fair shake ?
I would have though Lu would be the only person in the organization to have that much power ?

The more I think about it, the more I think it is a mistake as well. Sure ownership has the right to hire/fire the GM but my question is "was this knee jerk or did Aquaman have some advice from someone with hockey expertise ?" I always thought Nonis was working to a plan, though maybe one that was n...

The only reason why I mentioned the Calgary Flames, is because I see a similarity between their past situation.....and what we (CANUCKS) face now. A few years ago, Calgary made a choice to deplete their defensive prowess (along with other players that were known for their toughness and/orr work eth...

Pure class from Iggy and the rest of the Flamers.
A nice way for Linden to go out, with his peers and arguably greatest foes sending him off in this way.
A bit tough on Naslund as it may be his last game in the Nucks uniform.

NOt sure how Nonis thinks the team is better with depth, as in the big picture at least, we had more injuries and yet still managed to miss the playoffs. If our depth was better, we shopuld have made the playoffs ? I am begining to think a new change of direction would be best. Lets identify the cor...
