Re: Sundin. Again.

I'm also on the wellwood bandwagon. Especially since he's probably cheap scoring. The guy I'm less sure about is Bernier. He's not here just to be Pyatt. He's doing marginally better than the other guy MG looked at and almost stole from StL, David Backes, but not by much. He's younger than Backes th...

Re: Canucks vs the Wings, at the Joe, 4:30, PPV

I'm optimistic vs the more logical side of me: I say Schneider surprises with an unbelievable performance, and Canucks go onto a 2-1 win in a shoot-out. Anyone of the Swedes scores for the guys in red, and Kesler equalizes for our guys. Pyatt with the difference maker in the shoot-out. GOOOOOOOOOOOO...

Re: Canuck Injuries

Heard Sanford is out up to two weeks tops, he may even be ready for our next game against the Wild, but it looks like Schneider's gonna get the nod anyway. Wait, is Sanford the back up today, or have they called up Ellis? I can't find anything on canucks.com. Btw, for a good injury report, go to ca...

Re: Hamburglar Line?

I think only the best lines should get the honor, like the old "West Coast Express" Um, Kesler is the future captain of this team, and often spoken about as a Selke candidate. He's in the John Madden and Sammy Pahlsson mold, except he's better offensively. Neither the Devils nor the Ducks win Stanl...

Hamburglar Line?

Okay, if we're naming lines, like the Doctor Line with P(avol), H(enrik), and D(aniel)--the best line in hockey according to Pavol--we definitely should name our checking line, which is much more than a checking line. Here's my pick: Hamburglar line = Han(sen) + Bur(rows) + g + (Kes)ler. Plus they h...

As someone who is getting a PhD, I'm in. Great call.

The other one I was thinking of is "Sedintra". Maybe just for variation.

Re: Is it my imagination or

On another note, watching that Detroit game......did anyone notice Lidstrom?? He was invisable....weird.... Funny you mention that I noticed that, just invisible, by the mid point of the game I'm starting to think this guy has to be injured ?? Except in the third period when he kept picking off pas...

Re: Is it my imagination or

After watching last night's game against Detroit, I think you're right. They are being really patient and disciplined about how to clear the zone. And then they try to move through the neutral zone with all kinds of speed. It's actually a pretty cool to watch. Good eye.

Re: GDT: Canucks host Wings - 7pm SNet 11/24

Also, how did we survive before Demitra? He has been our MVP outside of Louie this year. I was totally ready for him to be a huge waste of cap space, instead he's playing like he's 25 again. Demitra is playing well, since coming back from the injury. Very dynamic. And there's something about his ga...

Re: GDT: Canucks host Wings - 7pm SNet 11/24

impressive game by the canucks. Fred mentioned in the forum that they are reversing the puck more, and i think he's right. the Canucks are moving the puck better and better out of their zone. even when the wings had control in our zone, there were no clear lanes to the net. this is a very discipline...

Re: GDT: Canucks host Wings - 7pm SNet 11/24

i repeat my claim that the refs aren't calling the wings...anyway, it's pretty unbelievable that the canucks are really not breaking.

everytime i see him play, i'm more and more impressed by o'brien.

Re: GDT: Canucks host Wings - 7pm SNet 11/24

anyone else feel like the refs don't call holding and hooking on detroit? or goalie interference.

anyway, it's a weird game. detroit is definitely in control here (only 9 shots for us!), but the canucks don't seem to panic. Sanford has looked alright. But boy does he go down quick.

Re: Luongo's Injury

I agree with toucan and those who believe that Schneider has earned a shot to at least share the load. Sanford can be brilliant, but he's not as technically sound as Schneider. Schneider had a terrible start for the Moose last season, but then turned it around and has never looked back. He's smart, ...

Re: Toronto at Vancouver 4:00PM CBC (HD)

anyone know why edler didn't play? is he injured? i didn't notice the early start, and tuned in early in the 3rd. i'm pretty sure it was me who ruined the shut out. actually, i think it was the refs. they blew a tripping call on salo just before the 1st toronto goal, and then the high sticking was p...
