Re: Naslund Retiring

It's not low standards that's the problem with this team, it's the fact that fans are so used to failure that they've become too jaded - almost every star player that's come through here gets badmouthed and somehow blamed for not winning the Cup on his way out. Now we can debate who was to blame for...

I thought I read he didn't enjoy it at all during the lockout, which helped convince him to come back to the NHL. I think he's done.

Re: Naslund Retiring

He just didn't seem to enjoy the game the last few years - unfair to say maybe, but that's the impression I got.

Classy guy though all the way - he didn't deserve a lot of the criticism he took here, and I don't wanna see anyone else on this team wearing #19...

Re: Dan Russel Calling a Canuck a liar

Dan Boy you sure cheesed me off calling that hockey player ( from the Canucks) a liar because he said he didn't care who the opponents were the next round. Are you a hockey player??! are you God that you know the thoughts and hearts of men?! Has it not EVER occurred to you that they dare not Care?....

C'mon Arachnid... it can't get any stranger than a bunch of people in Toronto drinking beer and shouting "Looouuu!" at a television screen... can it? 8-)

Re: New Meetup group for Canucks fans in Toronto!

Damn it, I'm not even close enough to Toronto to go to one of these things. I live in Central IL but do make it up to Toronto on ocassion. I've met Jyrki21 for many, many drinks there over the years... But that's about it. Well if either of you are in town during the playoffs, message me and I'll t...

New Meetup group for Canucks fans in Toronto!

Having recently moved to Toronto, I decided to set up a new group on Meetup.com for other Canucks fans living in the area. The idea is that we can get together (hopefully during the playoffs) at a nearby bar to watch a few games and cheer on the team. I started the group on Sunday and we're already ...

Re: Thoughts on Brian Burke

I've always been a big fan of Burke (though I haven't always supported his moves or outbursts), but I think this situation with the Ducks is a bit messy. There was lots of talk in the summer about him resigning with a year left on his contract and jumping to the leaves. Although he would've been cri...

Yeah, he was really impressive, although a bunch of our shots were right into his chest.

Not really a bad game from the Canucks, despite the loss. Wellwood and Krog continue to be good additions - they've both been better than Bernier lately, who is quickly fading in my books....
