Re: GDT: Canucks vs. LA Kings Oct 10 7:00 PM Start

Finally QH on PP1! Now that's what I'm talking about, Willis! Green finally getting it. Gaud might be snake -bitten but his smart play is quite noticeable almost every time he is on the ice. Lots of hustle and good positioning. Hank, anything noticeable from the stands that we might not be getting ...

Birdbones with a nice Quick shot from Jake.

Hughes with a nice first from the point.

Classy intro of the new C by the organization.

Edit: beat me to it dangler.

Re: GDT: Canucks @ oiler - 7pm- SN-P -Oct 2

Um, no. I want to see guys on the 3rd line who can truly play that gritty role and who will be able to actually check, PK AND generate some offence. Someone like Gaudette, who looks to be shaping up to be that. And Roussel. Maybe soon, a guy like Madden and perhaps Lockwood. But for now, as poor as...

Re: GDT: Canucks @ oiler - 7pm- SN-P -Oct 2

The validation isn't about trade or contract value. It's whether this team at least looks better than before, even if it's only the first game. No, the validation is whether the moves made improve the team to the extent that it justifies the price paid. That isn't determined in one game. More like ...

Re: GDT: Canucks @ oiler - 7pm- SN-P -Oct 2

A lot of the game just seemed like lines and players were out of sync. A lot of missed passes, passes in skates, guys not reading off each other well. Most of this should be improved after a few more games and some practice. As others have noted, with the substantial turnover it will take some time ...

Re: GDT: Canucks @ oiler - 7pm- SN-P -Oct 2

Myers from Hughes and Miller. Oh yeah, the new guys. Two of whom Canuck fans were whining about. The D is hella better and true top 6 forwards are just that... not a bunch of tweeners with Audi leases. One game is a tad early to claim validation or invalidation of the summer moves.... It's really n...

Re: Canucks News n Notes 2019-2020

Moving on from Baertschi is good news. It reflects depth. Is it? Does it? Would it not be better to have him on the third line rather than those who currently are filling that position? Despite all the talk about how great our bottom six guys are defensively, those bottom six had the worst goal dif...

Re: Canucks News n Notes 2019-2020

Yeah, like Eriksson, Motte and Sutter. That's jam if you've ever seen it. The hell does that have to do with Schaller? We couldn't keep Baertschi cause we needed Schaller's jam. [I realize you didn't directly state this, but I suspect it was part of Green's reasoning.] Hence, I was just pointing ou...
