Re: GDT: Canucks host preds - Nov 5 - 7pm - SNP

For the most part, I'm back to recording games and watching later or the next morning, and nearing the point of not even doing that until there's a coaching change. Last season, that occurred much later in the season, so ambivalence has set in real early for me. Last night, I caught the first 5 minu...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Pretty smart for Buffalo to take the Vegas package over the one rumoured from Calgary with Tkachuk. Kevyn Adams tweeted that Tkachuk was not part of Calgary's trade proposal. Anyway, typical outcome for the flames. Bridesmaids again  Saw that, but perhaps it should have been? Tkachuk's $9,000...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Canucks better get things straightened out, the division is only getting more difficult after this season.

Re: GDT: Canucks host rags Nov 2 - 7pm - SN1

I didn't watch the last two periods until this morning, but after the 2nd I thought they deserved a better fate. They're even as far as 5v5 goals for the season, it's the special teams and the production from Pettersson, Boeser, Hoglander, and even Horvat, since 2 of his 4 goals came in the one game...

Re: Canucks News n Notes 21-22

Bailey looks better than Chiasson to me. He does, and Gadjovich in the one game I saw him play as a Shark against the Jets Saturday was better than anything I've seen from Chiasson in any of the exhibition and regular season games he's played in as a Canuck. Keeping it in perspective, it wasn't gre...

Re: Coaching Change? Yay or Nay.

Canucks gotta snatch up Julien before another team does. Like Vin and Mëds said, they'd have to re-tool a decent portion of the lineup, and they're not exactly overflowing with those types of players in Abby. While I can't say with 100% certainty in Vin's case, I am pretty sure neither of us were s...

Re: Canucks News n Notes 21-22

Rushing him into the lineup does have a desperate feel to it but let's face it, Hamonic's presence is definitely going to provide a shot in the arm. (f'k it, I had to go there) Well the farm team is off to California and Hammy can't go because he hasn't had his second jab yet. So let him practice w...

Re: Canucks News n Notes 21-22

Thanks - didn't see the talk about skating but skating on his own and playing in the NHL is different (well duh), would prefer a couple more games in AHL to get him ready. I was commenting that it is not only the D that is causing the team be where it is, this seems to reek of desperation from Gree...

Scooping it... https://www.nhl.com/canucks/video/practice--travis-hamonic/t-277437438/c-9371366?q=hamonic Nice, such an affable guy and a great teammate. Tough guy for the media to pull their BS on too. Hopefully he's good to go, near the end I think it comes across like he might just be painfully ...

Re: Canucks News n Notes 21-22

It isn't all that surprising that the boss is getting frustrated when you look at all the cash and draft picks he spent on this season. He's gonna have egg on his face if this doesn't change and that won't be good for his hockey staff. Teams that trade their last two 1st rounders, and a 2nd and 3rd...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Bettman's fumbling on his explanation re: Cheveldayoff and Quenneville. Cheveldayoff as an Assistant GM is still management and has an obligation to report the complaint, even if he has to go around more senior management. The claim that he's the only person placing himself in that meeting, the othe...

Re: Canucks News n Notes 21-22

Meg, Dickinson missed some game and practice time, so I was assuming he was still on the mend. Could be wrong though.

With the Aquilini tweet, I saw it the other night and think I mentioned it in another thread, pretty ominous sign for sure. Who knows with this team. lol
