Re: The Rebuild...
I believe Juolevi is over 190 now and could show up at camp in the 195-200 pound range. By all accounts he is lot closer to being physically ready this fall.

Re: The Rebuild...
I like that, of course that means we will never have a first overall because we will never have the luck.Hockey Widow wrote:Simple. Bottom 10, straight lottery, even odds across the board. Next ,10 another lottery, even odds. Top ten draft by rankings.
Go back to straight reversed rankings for the second round.

Re: The Great Jim Benning Debate!
For those that think Edler isn't that good. The canucks were in the playoff hunt before he got injured.

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
I agree with HW a couple of the right moves it could happen quickly. I think the moves may not be free agent signings as much as trades. I am waiting to see what Jim has up his sleeve.

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
I think Benning has been incredibly clear in his message, and has followed it to a T. He is building a team. He has an idea of what he needs and then he goes after players that he thinks will fit model. He pays what he thinks that player is worth. Whether we agree or not, only time will tell if he is...

I wouldn't offer anymore than a second round pick for Drouin.

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
It is frustrating how short some peoples memories are on here. The lack of patience is difficult as well, understandable, but still difficult. I like what Benning is doing, and I trust is judgement about players a lot more than all of our amateur thoughts combined. I like that he is developing playe...

Re: Welcome to the Dark Side Minions: The Top Draft Prospect
I wouldn't be trying to trade up, I think this is one of those drafts that players are going to move around a bit. I think if you can get an extra pick or two cheap, that is the route I would go.

Re: Welcome to the Dark Side Minions: The Top Draft Prospect
The more I read about virtanen the more i like. His age is in his favour he is one of the younger guys, it gives him more time to develop.
