Re: Brandon Sutter extension

I’m on board with putting Miller at centre, moving toward a top 9. Miller, Petey and Horvat down the middle Pearson Horvat Virtanen Motte Pettersson Podkolzin Hoglander Miller Boeser Notte sure if Motte is Thing 1 material, but it might be worth exploring. There is no prototypical no. 1 line in the...

Re: Brandon Sutter extension

If Rathbone is NHL ready, does van let Edler walk? There isnt enough slots on that left side for all of these guys...someone will need to be moved You resign Edler to short term contracts (2mil ish) and then they compete for last spot in training camp. What if hes looking for his own 3.25 or more e...

Re: Brandon Sutter extension

so 3rd line C is the position needed to be filled, assuming Beagle is able to return. The only options i see are: - Gaudette -Miller,not likely since his presence on the 1st line is imperative - Lind The only way i can see Birdbones getting resigned is if Beagle is done and the contract term is sho...

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka

Wow, amazing how the additions of Tanev and Markstrom have done zilch for the good fortunes of the Flames. The Canucks have 3 games in hand and we are tied in points. Shit they got Marky for $6 million per for 6 years and he’s 31 years old. Hot damn Yet Benning gets no credit for walking away from ...

Re: 2021 TDD

I don't think the Flames will make any major moves at the trade deadline. Maybe they will send some of their mediocre UFAs out for some late round draft picks, but that's about it. Will Treyliving survive this off-season i wonder. They threw huge money at the ex canux and it hasnt worked out at all...

It will almost be worth watching TSN's TDD show to see them fill airtime. Maybe a drinking game could be devised?
I would be strangely comfortable with this idea

Re: Canucks News N Notes 2020-2021

It's just the cap hit that seems high. Why are so many saying his skating is sub par? He may not have an explosive first stride but can certainly keep up on rushes. His role on the team isn't an easy one. Doesn't play with Horvat on the PP and this year, in particular, there's been plenty. If there...

Re: Brandon Sutter extension

I can see them re-signing Sutter if Beagle is done, and it better not be a Pearson deal or anywhere close, but if they enter next season with both Sutter and Beagle I don't expect much if any year on year improvement over this season. Just swapping out Podkolzin for a Virtanen isn't going to cut it...

Re: Canucks News N Notes 2020-2021

By then Pearson will need a walker to get around the ice Jesus Blobbie. He ain’t that bad. I mean, he isn’t ‘Sutter Slow’ or ‘Beagle Paralized’ Dude... there are perhaps 6 good skaters on the team. I realize they all can’t be burners but they need to add more speed not more plugs. I agree with that...
