Welp, the comets are looking as dominant as expected.
Hmmm... 7 assists for Goldie in 3 games.
Kinda expected no?

Would be surprised, concerned, shocked,.. if it was 3 assists in 7 games.

... However; does that not beg the question ), WHY NOT BAERTSCHI? Put it this way; if Baer can stay healthy, take the hits, produce offence and continue to use the great skating ability he possesses, for say a month, or less, in Utica then I'd, at that point say cya Josh. ... He looks like he can t...

Re: Vancouver's Hockey "Media"

Apparently, Jawn Jang and Rick Dhaliwal have been let go by Rogers

Didn't mind Jang too much, thought he fit in nicely with Sat -

Kinda glad I don't have to listen to Dhaliwal in the morning anymore, just hope he remains and insider and continues to report the news over twitter.

Re: GDT: Canucks vs Flyers Oct 12 7:00 CBC

Probably why I said it in the Canucks vs Flyers thread. :scowl: I think he was referring to the 4-1 lead going into the third against LA. Remember that one day when they gave up a goal to LA in the first 7 minutes of the third to have their lead cut in half and then instead of sitting back, they po...

Re: GDT: Canucks @ oiler - 7pm- SN-P -Oct 2

To be fair, Pearson spent his time arguing with Smith and the ref after his stick was ripped out of his hands, putting us a man down. That should have been a penalty on Smith. It did look like a lazy change, Kassian had that entire side to walk in. Sutter's play late in the game was inexcusable for...

Re: GDT: Canucks @ oiler - 7pm- SN-P -Oct 2

1st GA - Horvat loses his check chasing the puck leaving The 50 goal German all alone in front of the net 2nd GA - Lazy change by the Canucks with the puck making it's way back up the ice 3rd GA - Sutter giveaway out of his zone, pass attempt to Eriksson skating out there with no cares in the world ...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

It wasn’t Lou’s fault. It was the referees swallowing their whistles. No it wasnt specifically his fault but he couldnt stop a beachball when his team needed him to. He certainly didnt help Lou took a team that scored a grand total of 8 goals in a series to 7 games. Doesn't matter how many he let i...

Re: Vancouver's Hockey "Media"

Unless the Canucks agree to eat that $4 mil cap hit for the year. What I'm saying is I don't think the NHL would let the Canucks do that because of the precedent it would create. Don't forget Loui would collect $27-$28M of a $36M contract at the halfway point of that contract (cap circumvention?). ...

Re: Vancouver's Hockey "Media"

Like I say, it's just a guess, but I think the NHL would see it as Cap Circumvention. If the NHL let it go it would set a precedent. Other teams could give a big bonus in the year they and the player (wink wink nudge nudge) want to be the last year ... and arrange the contract in such a way as to t...

Re: Vancouver's Hockey "Media"

I had $7M in there on the assumption he would find a way to make $2M over the rest of his career. Loui would be walking away from the $9M still owed him in his contract. And as I keep saying, I'm convinced the league would force him to pay back the $4M bonus. It's not "likely" the guy is going to w...

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread

so a 10.5 mil offersheet on Marner (2 firsts a second a third) cannot be matched by the Leaves unless they clear out 1.3 2.269 more within that 48 hour period. Edit - had the wrong calc - right now the most they can offer Marner and stay cap compliant over the summer is around 7.3 - anything over th...

. Satiar Shah ‏Verified account @SatiarShah I’m still keeping an eye on the Stars as a potential destination for Loui Eriksson. Could see something involving Cogliano who has 2 years at $3.25M per left and/or Comeau who also has 2 years remaining at $2.4M per 12:09 PM - 14 Jul 2019 That's a good de...

Re: Canucks News n Notes 2019-2020

I hope Benning holds firm. Let’s see how Louie likes Utica. Or......get out there Berry and find a market. He has permission to do so, so I’ve been told. Team might want to play they young kids in Utica - is there even room for him there? Kalamazoo might be an option? How would that be perceived in...
