Re: The fancy cocktail thread

Are you a white rum man? I guess that's what you'd want for a Cuba Libre, right? No, I'm not a rum guy at all. I've always just had crppy cheap Bacardi White at not so fine establishments. Guess I'm looking for something different to try. All the recommendations have piqued my interest into rum. Bu...

I give credit when credit is due, Topper is a bit of a Cassandra when it comes to overrated players.

Yes and their ringleader was none other than poster DocStrangelove107  (*I may or may not have been part of this...I have no recollection) :look: I think I may have been. On the one hand, being close to his family may have kept him from being a total fuckup. On the other hand, being the big fi...

The Winnipeg Jets and I find this hilarious. The good lord has blessed Evander with an abundance of dollars , yet little sense. What the good lord giveth, the good lord taketh away  From what I understand of his situation with the gambling debts, now-ugly divorce, abortion lawsuits, etc., he i...

Re: The Official Dave Ayres CC "All Thing Leaves" thread

I could see them re-signing one of Campbell or Rielly if they water down their depth even more. That seems to be Dumbass' solution for keeping the band together. They need to find a sucker to take Kerfoot and/or Richie off their hands though ... and let yet another player walk as UFA (Mikheyev). If...

...for the <$30 range I go either El Brugal or Mount Gay eclipse. Both spiced, neither are too funky. Brugal Anejo is the rum I've bought the last few times. ESQ & Corn, are these the same rum from the same distiller? Not a big fan of spiced rums though, the few times I've tried it straight. Seriou...

Re: The fancy cocktail thread

Thanks for all the red rum recommendations. I dunno what the other price ranges are, but for the <$30 range I go either El Brugal or Mount Gay eclipse. Both spiced, neither are too funky. But my only rum highball is a Dark N Stormy, just rum and the spiciest ginger beer (my fave is The Great Jamaic...

When I feel more sophisticated, I slice limes for my Corona Pacifico and Dos Equis >>>>> Corona. Hell Tecate is better. I dunno man, I just snag a box of basic beer and get busy chugging. It ain't tasters choice around my fire pit and I don't really mind how light Corona tastes. No hangovers, no af...

ts over (we won) I forgot how easy it was. [bold face lie] Would have changed so much if that one game went the other way. Not just for the playoffs but for the team the next year. I was at the game, greatest sports experience of my life. But I remember in the lineup for the john before OT, everybo...

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

Is Hoglander a top 10 pick in a 2019 re-draft and does Turcotte slip out of the first round? Hoglander is an amazing success story that shows hockey smarts beyond his years. Seems to instinctively know where to go on the ice in most circumstances. If Hoglander can get his quads to look like Marty S...

Mark Messier>>>> Lois the Air Thief. Three hits he had one year. Biggest pariah here ever me thinks. Ya know vin, I agree with the sentiment, but the last games of Loui's I saw in person, the crowd went nuts for him. It was like we all wanted him to succeed so bad, that we didn't want fan n...
