Re: Canucks News n Notes 2019-2020

I can live with a two year extension. Not surprised it was done before the season, they (ownership) must be really happy with the moves he made in the offseason. TBH, I do see us making the playoffs this year, assuming the following happens: Boeser signs before training camp and we are relatively he...

Cull has 1 job, develop players for the NHL. If he likes grinders then he is the wrong coach.
So much this.

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Love this trade. Simply hilarious. I can see Neal hitting the 20 goal mark and then being sat for the rest of the season to make sure there is no 3rd rounder going back to Calgary. Funny as hell. Btw, is that condition only for next season? I assume it is.

Re: Canucks News n Notes 2019-2020

I like this signing, 3.5 is an excellent cap hit, the 4 years doesn't bother me too much. If he is irrelevant in the 4th year he will probably be on LTIR at that point due to concussions. My guess is someone is heading down to the AHL? Or, Eriksson will be traded after July 15 (apparently that is wh...

Re: Players You Hate

Does fleury still suck? Yes. The Little Midget Rat Bastard (LMRB) still sucks!!! -although, I do respect the bastard. Not sure I do. He jumped back in bed with Graham James and hired him to coach the junior team he was part owner of, knowing what a pariah the man was. Say what?! When was this?

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 19-20 Sponsored by SKYO

So if we dump Eriksson in the AHL, which I think is the best option right now, how much cap savings would we actually have?

Re: 2019 offseason

Lol playoff time. In all seriousness who are they climbing over to get to the playoffs? Lock- Nashville, Colorado, St Louis, Vegas, San Jose. Pretty much a lock- Calgary, Dallas So one spot up for grabs fighting with Arizona who is improved, Winnipeg, Minnesota, Chicago and Edmonton. Only Anaheim a...

Re: How did Jimmy do

I would give him a B+ for right now. The term for who he signed is not crazy and I don't think will come to bite us in the ass later. The problems we are having now are for contracts that were signed a few years ago. Sutter's is bad due to injuries. Eriksson's, is well, my god, that is an awful sign...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

This doesn't fall on Gillis. I think most of the adults understand this. The contracts should have been grandfathered in by the league. Yeah, that really pisses me off. What did the Canucks do to get the ire of the league on this? You know Boston, Toronto or pretty much any other American franchise...

Re: Canucks Contracts

My two cents I have come around on the deal, doesn't mean I love it, but I can live with it. The first is a bit of a steep price to pay and, yes, I would have preferred to see it spend on a quality D man, but I can live with. We don't want to be the new Oilers. I am assuming that Miller gels well wi...

I have a feeling that Tanev will be gone before camp, wouldn't be surprised if he is packaged with Virtanen to bring in some substantial D help.

Millers contract which is $26,250 over 5 years with a modified NTC....
Wtf?! Just 26 grand? That's less than half of what I earn in a year!

What happened to league minimum?
Even worse for him, it was front loaded too.

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

Miller (6'1", 218lb) put up nearly identical numbers to Bo Horvat (6', 215) until buried in Tampa depth last year. He and Bo are similar size and on similar contracts (Miller is $250K/yr cheaper than Bo with the same # yrs left on his deal). Miller returns to top 6 position he held with the Rags. M...

Like many are saying, can't understand why we gave up the first. At least it is lottery protected I guess. His trades are horrible it seems.
