Re: Canucks Preseason - 2022

So why haven't we seen Pitt Martin in net yet? Has he been hurt? Shouldn't he have had a chance to get some starts over Slivos or Dahlia? If we are looking for him to start 20-25 games this year he should have had some reps this preseason imho Both Silvos and Dalia were sent down no? Who is startin...

Re: Canucks News n Notes 22-23

The fact that Allvin isn't prepared to offer up high draft picks or grade A prospects to get a RHD is the right decision. As Rutherford has said we are not at that position on the curve to be making those types of moves. Perhaps in 2-3 years but not right now. As has been pointed out there hasn't be...

Re: Canucks News n Notes 22-23

I am glad for Delia that he cleared. His number one reason for signing with the Canucks was a chance to be coached by Clarke. I think had been snagged by someone else he would of course been pleased tone in the NHL but disappointed to lose out on Clarke. Now that that is done I think we see DiPietro...

Re: Canucks Preseason - 2022

I never had confidence in Dipietro, not from day one. He just never seemed to have that NHL level in him. Could he be an effective back up, ya maybe, but I never saw starter potential in him. Having said that, I agree he should never have been placed on the taxi squad. It killed that season for him ...

Re: Canucks Preseason - 2022

Aman and Hoglander would be my choice. Karlsson needs AHL and the others are waiver fodder Ya I think Hoglander makes it as the 13 forward. It is a matter of who stays until Boeser and Mikheyev are back. I think Dries and Di Giuseppe have the inside track. Experience etc. But it may be a short ride...

Re: Canucks Preseason - 2022

On D you would have to think one of Poolman or Dermott will not be on the opening day roster of 8 D. Up front Boeser won't start and Mikheyev is week to week. Assuming we keep 13 forwards: Brock Boeser, Ilya Mikheyev , Jason Dickinson, Conor Garland, Bo Horvat, Dakota Joshua, Andrei Kuzmenko, Curtis...

Re: Canucks Preseason - 2022

Longest Ive watched a pre season so far. They guys did well for the most part. The season can't start soon enough from though. Hollway shows why he should be in the minors. He plays well against Abbotsford.

So far this is a better game to watch than the others. Wolanin, Burroughs and Juulsson look good. Delia playing well.

Re: Canucks Preseason - 2022

So far Podkolzin is playing like he knows he is one of a handful of vets. He is trying to carry the play. Good to see.
