Re: CC Random thread

2011...If Luongo didn't have a childlike fragile eggshell mind we would have won a cup. It's all on him as far as I'm concerned Or if the refs hadn’t swallowed their whistles. The Canucks built a team and played a style that was taking advantage of the new harsher enforcing of the NHL rulebook. The...

Re: An Apathetic Death

My first job after graduating out of BCIT, was with an Architectural firm that worked in the Marine building on the corner of Hastings and Burrard. I lived in Burnaby at the time and used to take a bus down town from the park and ride across from the PNE grounds. My memories of the DTES are from the...

Re: What are the two most important future moves?

From an outsider's point of view, I think you have to clean house as far as coaching and the GM's office. Green can't seem to get this young, talented group going and Benning has made some pretty bad decisions in both drafting and trades (most of the memorable ones to the benefit my Flames). Flames...

Abbotsford? :wow: Low blow AP! Isn't that a little like holding your foot on someone's head while they're drowning? :look:  I mean it kinda looks like a place we can send all the dead farm animals! The Cowtown Crematorium ? The Flames nick would finally make sense! 8-) I like it

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka

Not sure if anyone here has seen this, but this is a rendering of the Flames new barn. I've worked in the Architectural field for 45 years, and this is extremely poor architecture. It's embarrassing to say the least. I've seen box stores that had more character than this eyesore. Modern saddles loo...

Re: Canucks News n Notes 21-22

I think Sutter's style has evolved to keep up with today's game. He isn't coaching this team like he did with LA. He's getting good production from his top players, but the third and fourth lines are also contributing. He is running 4 lines very effectively. Also, Treliving brought in depth players ...

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka

Flames will get into the playoffs as a bubble team - that's what I predicted at the start of the season, and I haven't changed my prediction. A couple of years ago, they also had a terrific regular season, only to fizzle in the first round of the playoffs. I've seen this movie before, but they do ha...

Re: CC Random thread

The hoarders of food and goods need to be lynched. Go and Craigslist, Kijiji wherever and find these pieces of shit selling these goods and make a fucking example of each and every one of them. Scumbags one and all. I'm sure things will get more scarce here until the routes are restored, but critic...
