Re: 2022 Training Camp

-If JT can still bet 100 points with Pearson on his wing then just wow. Pearson will get a chance really earn his keep. I like Pearson just didn't see him as a fit much longer bit this line could change that for him. But will his wingers be able to skate with JT? I think this is the coach also look...

As soon as I read that - that silly circus song went off in my head.

Re: 2022 Training Camp

It’s that awesome time of year when the 3 old married people stop polluting every thread while bitching at each other as to who is the worst GM of the past.. or at least it slows down some. Hear hear! Hoping the Mods have a little less leash on these posts, and keep them to the thread they belong i...

Boeser is making 6.5. Horvat is a better player than Boeser. Definitely. He was also, by far, our best forward in the playoffs. He's getting 7Mill x 8 and it's a good deal for both sides He won't be by the time we make the playoffs again - and not sure "by far" is accurate. Miller was pretty good t...

Boeser is making 6.5. Horvat is a better player than Boeser. This makes good sense, if you don't consider age - Van has paid Boeser for what they think he will do in the next two/three years. Similar to the shit that happened in Ottawa. I still think on a heathy year, he is good for 35-40 goals. I ...

Mark Spector all over Fat Jake even before he steps on the ice for camp. Just watched his presser with Edm media - they certainly didn't take it easy on him, but fair questions. Not sure if I just ignored most of his interviews while he was in Van, but man, I really didn't get how MUCH of a meathea...

Technically he is, as its his first year in the NHL - however as he is currently 26 years old, it makes him ineligible for the Calder, or any associated rookie bonus structures.

No doubt, and I have a lot more confidence with the organizational changes that maybe a longer shot, project type player turns out over time. The summer development camp appeared to be very well run. I particularly like the idea of the Sedins trying to teach this guy how to make it to the NHL as a ...

Re: 2022 Young Stars Tourny

With the enhancements the Canucks are making on the player development side of things, a guy like van de Leest might actually have a chance. Some comments from Brent Sutter after his trade to Red Deer last season: Sutter said van de Leest will play a large and crucial role with the team. “We think ...

van de Leest is 6'7" and 238 lbs, I'd have Abby sign him. Fight card with a couple decent tilts: https://www.hockeyfights.com/players/25767 Jebus - what is he doing at a Young Stars Tourney? $100 bucks and a bowl of Cuz's finest green stuff says he gets 1 min of ice time, and spends 30 secs of it g...

Re: CC Random thread

The nerve of people discussing where they would like to relocate to in the next few years. If you don't like traffic Blobby - try moving farther north! No rush hour here, lots of senior support etc. Good retirement vibe I'm saying. Best fishing you'll ever have. Plenty of "like-minded" people for y...
