Re: Canucks Young Guns

Biech talks about the promising Canucks prospects and the awards and recognition's they are winning/receiving. Canucks prospects have been named a bunch of things… in the good way. The regular season in the NHL is starting to wind down but some of the various junior leagues are already into their pl...

Re: Karlsson, Myers, None or ... ? Poll

If they cough up 7 + to Myers, that will be an albatross. This guy is an average 2nd pairing guy. At 5 million, sure sign me up, but that ain’t happening. No fucking way you pay him as top 20 d man. Horrible boat anchor will end up being another Loui debacle. 2nd-pairing UFAs haven't signed for $5 ...

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 18-19 Sponsored by SKYO

changing the topic. See the team is playing pretty well without Hutton, Sutter, Baertschi, Goldy and even Tanev. Those guys should be JB's trade ammo for this offseason, but yeah I'm leaning on keeping Tanev unless a desperate team wants that defensive top 4 right side dman badly and offers a top ti...

Re: Karlsson, Myers, None or ... ? Poll

As much as I would love to see Karlsson wear the orca, I'd hate to see where we are in 5-6 years and he's closing out his contract. I guess the real question behind this would be: "Will the Canucks be a contender with Karlsson within the next 4-5 years?". He would surely help, but I see his GP numb...

Re: Karlsson, Myers, None or ... ? Poll

I voted Myers or another top dman All eggs in one basket + injury would cripple us and we’d be right back to where we are now Champions don't think that way, it is why having Quinn Hughes the student learn from the master Karlsson, better to have two QB's than one. that's what she said. Caps - Carl...

Re: Canucks Young Guns

Yeah Woo-tang will have to master the art of shaolin...ok I'll stop.

But yeah he has to sharpen his skillset a bit, quit trying to be fancy, limit his mistakes and he can fine tune those next year and have an awesome showcase at the 2020 World Juniors. sheesh time flies.

Re: Karlsson, Myers, None or ... ? Poll

The game today is about speed and elite skill, Karlsson checks all the boxes. Hands up if you're tired of all the shitty drop passes from Edler, the horrible giveaways from the likes of Pouliot, the slow decision making of Hutton where the powerplay slows down, Stecher not having enough skill. Pette...

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 18-19 Sponsored by SKYO

"So Hutton, Tanev, Virtanen for Nylander + ______?" Skyo - if we move Hutton and Tanev, yet sign Karlsson the team will still be horrendous on the back end. Move anyone other than Hutton as we need him to play 4 - 6 in the rotation. As TI will still be hard up against the cap send them the 2020 1st...

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 18-19 Sponsored by SKYO

I don't even really want Nylander anymore, but considering whats out there & our need for a top 6 scorer, I'd consider it. If Toronto bites the dust in the playoffs, and loses Gardiner to UFA. They may consider Ben Hutton to replace Gardiner, Tanev 50% retention because their D sucks and they only n...

Re: 2019 UFA

Boston won the Cup thanks to overspending on Chara, the Ducks won their Cup in part by spending $$$ on Niedermayer.

Don't be afraid to spend big bucks on Norris caliber dmen, it's quite fucking simple really.

Re: 2019 NHL ENTRY DRAFT - Vancouver

When Benning was hired, his first priority was to refill the age gaps in the veteran line up he had inherited. handicapped with players on trade protected contracts he got on with the job of moving what he could when he could while bringing in player within defined age brackets who could fulfill ro...
