Re: Canucks Contracts

Also, Tanev, Markstrom, Schaller, Leivo, Sutter, Pearson, Baertschi, Edler, Benn, and Spooner will be off the books in a year and two. Yeah it's nearly half the roster, but you'll still need to replace the bodies. Two top-4 dmen and a 1B goalie alone could cost upwards of $18M in a couple years. Ho...

Re: GDT: Canucks @ edm Sept-19 - 7pm - SN1 - PRE-SEASON

Rafferty is having a good game so far. Nice backhand pass! If he keeps improving, he could replace Stecher or Tanev down the road.

Re: GDT: Canucks @ edm Sept-19 - 7pm - SN1 - PRE-SEASON

Did the ref just signal a goal when the Oiler called it a goal? :?: There is no way he could tell from the side.

Re: Canucks Contracts

Nice to see Brockstar get his contract done. Great cap hit for us, although we might have to pay him more later. If he proves he's a superstar, I have no problem paying him. 3 years is a great term for us as well. We should have Petey & Hughes 2nd contract done by then and we can see where Brock fi...

Re: Training Camp - 2019

Benning made moves and left himself with less than $5M of space to sign his best winger. If Benning was sitting on $8M of space and Brock was unsigned then yeah. On the player. But to suggest that Boeser and his agent are unjustly holding out at this point when Benning can’t offer more than $4M and...

Re: Canucks News n Notes 2019-2020

Matthew Sekeres@mattsekeres My understanding is that the #Canucks offered Brock Boeser a six-year deal worth $42M ($7M AAV) around the draft and were turned down. That might explain the stalemate today because now the agent *has* to do better for his client, & the Canucks have spent cap space on UF...

Re: Canucks Contracts

Rick Dhaliwal@DhaliwalSports The #Canucks cap issues are causing problems, the Boeser camp knows they can not get long term deal, they are willing to do a short term deal (even 1-2 years) but the gap remains even on that. Things can change quick but it does not look good right now. I thought the te...

Re: Career Milestones 2019/2020

As for goals... shockingly only fifteen times has a Canuck scored a minimum of 40 goals in a season, and it hasn't happened since the 2010-11 season! Can any of our current players reach that level this season? Boeser's best so far is 29 in 62, Pettersson's 28 in 71 and Horvat's 27 in 82. G...

Re: Let's get creative with Erikkson...

It seems like we're stuck with Eriksson, at least for another year. A part of me thinks we should just bite the bullet and stick Eriksson with Petey & Brockstar for most season, no matter what, for better or worse. Eriksson is still good defensively, decent in the corners and is pretty good around ...

He made it! An entire career without having to stand up for his dirty hits. That must be an accomplishment right there

Sounds like Laine might be available.

Brockstar, Golds + Tanev
for
Laine.

:D
I am not sure the rest of the Canucks like that big mouth. I rather have Boeser + Tanev.

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Juolevi for him would be more realistic Nah, Juolevi > Puljujarvi, especially for the Canucks. They need defensemen, not another forward with question marks. I would not mind trading Goldobin plus a 7th rounder for Puljujarvi though. Agree totally but the coil wont make that move. Theyll want anoth...
