Re: International Politics & Stuff

^The Chinese recently imposed a surcharge on carbon. No discussion and no votes. It is for the common good and can you see any Western country doing that and getting away with it? Yes, pretty much every western country outside of North America has already done it. Australia, New Zealand, South Kore...

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

^I don't get it. @Blob (love your username hahaha) Draft picks are a crap shoot and ROR is a known commodity. COL played it safe, and they can trade him on their own terms next year. Every draft year is projected as being great, but there's worse teams than CGY and they could wind up picking 10th ov...

Don't knock Central American Hockey. You get to shoot the refs for a bad call, the War Room is an actual war room, your hockey bag has a secret storage compartment, and there's no video replay because cameras are forbidden, well, everywhere.

Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)

Given that they decided to match, doing it soon makes sense. They want him in the line up ASAP as they want to try and make the playoffs. Waiting the 7 days only hurts them. I'm not surprised they matched. They could also be concerned about next year's trade deadline...I don't think they can move h...

Re: Canucks goalie controversy discussion thread

Yes, he's being paid A LOT of money and it is a big business for sure, but it's still just a game. If his team wins, he makes his hometown/employer happy, but in the end it doesn't make their lives much better or worst. Not like he's saving the world from cancer, solving poverty or bringing world p...

Re: Canucks goalie controversy discussion thread

"I'm tired of playing like an average goalie" Cory Schneids. Boy, I just hope Schneids is not putting all the pressure on himself. It's good to strive to be the best he can be, but if he puts all the pressure on his shoulders, it could be too much and crush his will and devastate his career. Vancou...

Re: Why is Kassian dropped to the 4th line?

Also as well; I am fed up with his Napoleonic attitude with regards to shootouts, off season remarks and player favouritisms. (SP?). This is a short season. I really like Gillis. I hope he could jump behind the bench! That would be cool. Doubt it would be worse! Thats funny cuz AV looks like Napole...

Long time lurker, haven't posted before today, but I'd probably be more active here with a mobile version of the site.

Any progress there yet?

Re: 2013 Season Injury Thread

His injury and time out of line up, http://canucks.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=657790 will take us past the trade deadline. Interesting to see if this impacts what MG does. With Kesler out, Manny pushed out, Ebbett waived, we are short of centres, again. So Steve Pinizzotto has been recalled and will ...
