Congressional Budget Office reported last week on the first five months (starting in October).
The US government had borrowed over $1 trillion, including over $300 billion in February. Interest payments were $433 billion over those first five months.
Reads like an eighties Dodge financial statement.

A month or so I commented about an Iranian dissident living in Burnaby who is also a SFU prof had gone missing. Last week his body was found. Two Iranians living in the Vancouver area who are loyal to the regime in Iran have been arrested for the kidnapping and murder. How long has the government ...

Just as Moore couldn't have broken his spine when hit by Bert because he didn't have a spine to break, Quin had no team to leave behind.

Re: Not so deep thoughts by donlever
In retrospect Hughes seems too soft-spoken to be a captain. Can you imagine him raising his voice or having a commanding presence in the dressing room? Not me. Do you say the same of Hank? Hughes was the locker room and coaches #1 choice. Ricky was was the biggest proponent of Quinn for captain.

Yeah...I'm somewhat surprised these players get chastised for operating to the best of their benefit within the system created by ownership, management and league power brokers. Do the players partake in CBA's, yeah sure, but let's be real about who holds the ultimate hammer. Players presented with ...

Re: Not so deep thoughts by donlever
Hughes knew his FA years would be far more valuable negotiated now than if he sold them years ago. he had absolutely no reason to sell off a couple of FA years back then. What would he have gotten for one or two FA years back then $9M per? He'll likely be pulling in $14 on his next deal, that is ...

Re: Muzac For Munsters
Give Ursay some credit for not locking his collection away in a vault but rather allowing a touring museum display of the pieces, but the new owner, Family Guitars, is letting it be played.
Derek Trucks was at the auction sitting with the owner of Family Guitars when the deal went down.

Washington State just passed a flat rate 9.9% tax on income over $1M/yr beginning in 2028. Washington did not previously have a State income tax.

Re: Ownership and Management (These fuckin' guys™)
Semantics aside, the previous management was 2/3rds to 3/4's of the way through a rebuild before fans and media decapitated them and this current group threw it away for their own incompetent and now disastrously failed plans.
