Hockey Love Hurts: Win 1 of 2 $75 gift cards from Visa & CanucksCorner.com
Hockey Love Hurts is not a phrase that Canucks fans are used to hearing, at least over the past season, but for Christiane B. from Richmond, BC and Alan D. from Vancouver (who now lives in Calgary), that phrase has paid off. They are the two grand prize winners of Visa’s Hockey Love Hurts sweepstakes; a program that celebrated the passion and loyalty of Canadian hockey fans through the ups and downs of their favourite hockey team. In the contest, Visa cardholders were invited to pledge allegiance to their favourite NHL team and received prizes and offers when their chosen team didn’t do so well in certain aspects of the season (when hockey love hurt the most!). The grand prize was any NHL fan’s ultimate dream – tickets to a Stanley Cup Final Game!
Now Christiane and Alan are set to go to Canucks home games in the next week and we will be hearing from Christiane on our blog in a special Q&A video about her love for our dear Canucks and how excited she is to attend the game this Saturday.
As part of this promotion earlier this year we gave away a Visa gift card when we asked you submit questions for the Vancouve Canucks Alex Burrows. Our friends at Visa know that not everyone can get to experience the Finals from the luxury of the arena, so they want to make sure that hockey love doesn’t hurt for the rest of us – in the next week, two of our CanucksCorner.com readers in Canada have the chance to win a $75 Visa Prepaid card!

I’ve been wanting to pledge to the NHLPA Beard-a-Thon. Kesler, Raymond and Hamhuis are involved, so I would pledge to one of our guys, of course. I would just have to decide which one… Or maybe all three.
If I win and IF the Canucks win the Cup – my $75 would go towards ‘Cup winner’ gear. Otherwise, it is time for another jersey.
