Sportsnet: Luongo and Canucks agree to extension
Sportsnet is reporting this afternoon that the Canucks and goaltender Roberto Luongo have reached an agreement on a contract extension.
No terms of the deal have been mentioned, but it is believed the deal will be announced before the team opens training camp September 13th. Loungo is entering the last year of a four year contract that will pay him $7.5 million for the 2009-2010 season.
